We hope that you choose to recommend us to your friends and family in the area, and we will strive to continue providing our professional services. When it comes to working on the outside of your home, we can apply a fresh coat to: siding, window and door frames, shutters, patios, porches, decks, and more.
First, we will need to set up the work area. The outside of the home will be hand washed or pressure washed, depending on what kind of build-up of grime there may be. This will remove dust, dirt, and any mildew that may be on the exterior. Next, we will prepare the surfaces by removing areas of loose paint. The surface is scraped off and any glossy areas that remain will be sanded off. Gaps in frames or siding will be caulked to prevent paint from getting inside during the project. Next, the surface is primed and a premium quality paint is applied. Finally, we will clean up the job site and let you see our work. After you have performed your own visual inspection, feel free to let us know if there are areas that need some adjustment.
How often should the outside of a home be painted?
There are many different things to consider when it comes to how often a fresh coat is needed. The quality of the paint used last will play a huge factor in how long the outside of your home will continue looking vibrant and appealing. The worse the quality of paint, the more often it will need some touching up. Additionally, if you have trees or shrubs growing next to the outside of your home, this can cause your siding to become damp or moist often. This can start to make the colors fade faster.
What surface preparation will be done?
We will be sure that the siding is properly cleaned using the right type of agent based on the material, and we will also be sure that areas are properly scraped and primed before the first coat is added.
What type of paint will be used?
Our team ensures quality by only using the best-of-the-best when it comes to paint and brushes or rollers. We can provide both oil-based and latex materials based on what your home's particular needs may be.
If I have oil-based paint on my home, can I switch to acrylic?
This is possible, but there will be a few things that need to be done first before a new coat is applied. Our crew of professionals will be able to walk you through the process and answer any questions you may have along the way.
